Todd McGhee
Major McGhee was raised in Concord, North Carolina. Major McGhee began his career with the City of Concord in 1997. Formerly working in the Communications Department (1997-2000) and the Fire Department (2000-2001), Major McGhee now oversees the Operation Bureau with 21-years of law enforcement experience to the Police Department. As an officer, Major McGhee worked in the Patrol Bureau, Criminal Investigations Bureau (Vice/Narcotics and Special Victims Unit) and the Special Investigations Unit. Major McGhee achieved the rank of Sergeant in 2008 and supervised in both the Patrol Bureau and Support Services Bureau. Major McGhee was promoted to the rank of Captain in April 2016. Major McGhee was the commander of both Baker District and the Special Operations Division. Major McGhee holds his Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate from the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission and is a General Law Enforcement instructor. Major McGhee is a two time recipient of the Chief’s Superior Leadership Award.
