Kelly Seagraves
Kelly Seagraves began her career with the City of Concord in 2005, where she served as an officer in Baker District for three years before being assigned to the Special Investigations Unit and then VICE/Narcotics. In 2009, she was promoted to the rank of Master Police Officer and served as the School Resource Officer for Concord Middle School. Kelly was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2017, where she was assigned to the Patrol Bureau.
Seagraves was one of the supervisors for the Community Outreach Division. Her compassion and dedication to the community excelled as she became an advocate for Juvenile Law and relationships between juveniles and Law Enforcement. Seagraves received the Hometown Hero Award in 2021 for developing and implementing the Concord Police Department Cadet Program. Seagraves was promoted in 2022 to the rank of Lieutenant where she was part of the operations bureau before spending time as a Watch Commander.
Seagraves holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is a certified general law enforcement instructor and teaches basic law enforcement training and instructor school. Seagraves is an FBI-LEEDA trilogy graduate. In addition, she has served as the team leader for the Crisis Negotiator Unit and currently is the President for the Central North Carolina Negotiators Network.
