City leaders honored 155 employees for their combined 1,865 years of service to the City of Concord at the annual Service Awards ceremony. The annual event is a time for city leaders to recognize the dedication of employees who have served the city for at least five years. Service awards are given out in five-year increments, with some employees reaching their 35-year milestone this year.

At the ceremony, Mayor Pro Tem Jennifer Hubbard and City Manager Lloyd Payne thanked employees for their hard work and commitment to delivering excellent service to residents. That commitment recently earned the City the prestigious Leading the Way Award from the ETC Institute. The award is a recognition of the City’s outstanding delivery of services and being among the top 10% of all local municipalities in the United States.
