The City of Concord government offices will be closed on Monday, November 11, 2024, in honor of Veterans Day. Several services will operate on modified schedules due to the observed holiday.

Solid Waste Services

There will be no collection on Monday, November 11. All customers will have a one-day delay for garbage, recycling, yard waste, bulky waste and loose leaf collection.

Customers are reminded that all items should be placed at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on their collection day. Customers can visit concordnc.gov/whatsmyday or download the CARTology mobile app to verify their collection schedule and visit concordnc.gov/looseleaves to see when crews will be collecting loose leaves in their neighborhood.

Rider Transit

Rider Transit will operate on a regular schedule on Veterans Day. Military veterans are reminded that they are eligible for a Reduced Fare ID Card. Reduced Fare ID Card applications are available online or at the Rider Transit Center Customer Service Office located at 45 Transit Ct NW in Concord.

Parks and Recreation

City Recreation Centers will follow holiday hours on Monday, November 11, and open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The David Phillips Activity Center and Lake Fisher will be closed. The ClearWater Arts Center & Studios is open to tenants and their guests.
