The City of Concord government offices will be closed on Monday, May 26, for Memorial Day. Several services will operate on modified schedules due to the observed holiday.
Garbage, Recycling, Bulky, and Yard Waste Collection
All garbage, recycling, bulky and yard waste collection will operate on a one-day delay. Residents are reminded to place their carts at the curb no later than 6 a.m. on the day of their collection.
Residents are encouraged to visit concordnc.gov/whatsmyday and download the free CARTology mobile app to have their collection schedule at their fingertips, and to receive notifications about schedule changes.
Rider Transit
Rider Transit will be closed and buses will not operate on Monday, May 26. Regular service will resume on Tuesday, May 27.
Parks and Recreation
On Monday, May 26, the Academy and Hartsell Recreation Centers and the Logan Multi-Purpose Center will follow holiday hours and open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The David Phillips Activity Center, ClearWater Arts Center & Studios, and Lake Fisher will be closed.
John F. McInnis Aquatics Center Opens Saturday, May 24
The McInnis pool opens for the 2025 season on Saturday, May 24 at 12 p.m. Public swim hours are Sunday-Thursday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Both single day passes and season passes are available and can be purchased online. Daily pool passes can also be purchased in person.
