The City of Concord government offices will be closed on Labor Day, Monday, September 1, 2025. Several services will operate on modified schedules due to the observed holiday.
Solid Waste Services
There will be no collection on Monday, September 1. All customers will have a one-day delay for garbage, recycling, yard waste and bulky waste collection.
Customers are reminded that all items should be placed at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on their collection day. Customers are encouraged to visit concordnc.gov/whatsmyday and download the CARTology mobile app to verify their collection schedule and receive helpful reminders and service alerts.
Rider Transit
Rider Transit will be closed and buses will not operate on Monday, September 1. Regular service will resume on Tuesday, September 2.
Parks and Recreation
City Recreation Centers will follow holiday hours on Monday, September 1, and open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The David Phillips Activity Center and Lake Fisher will be closed. The ClearWater Arts Center & Studios is open to tenants and their guests.
