The City of Concord’s first sculpture show is coming to Downtown Concord. Four sculptures will be installed on Union Street and displayed for one year. The installation of the sculptures will take place on Wednesday, March 19, and Thursday March 20 – just in time to make weekend plans to visit Downtown Concord and check out the new public art!
With approval from City Council, the Public Art Commission identified Union Street as an ideal location for public art and put out a call for artists last December for a new temporary sculpture show in Downtown Concord. The Commission received 31 submissions and selected four sculptures:
- Connected, by Nathaniel Pierce. Located at 9 Union St N.
- Two Gentlemen of Verona, by Jim Gallucci. Located at 4 Union St S.
- Intersection, by Bob Coon. Located at 28 Union St S.
- Dawn, by Sam Spiczka. Located at 66 Union St S.
The four sculptures will be on display in Downtown Concord through April 2026. Visit concordnc.gov/publicart for more information on current public art projects.
