Fire Station 2

Concord Fire Station 2Dedicated in 1972, Concord Fire Station No. 2 is located at 42 Palaside Drive NE. Engine Company 2 and a 1963 Seagrave N-7200 Pumper are quartered in this station. Engine Co. 2 has the distinction of being the busiest engine company in the city.

Fire Station No.2 is first due to Northeast Medical Center as well as many target hazards. Additionally, Engine 2 is responsible for service to the Hwy. 29/601 corridor and I-85.

City of Concord Recognized Neighborhoods within Fire Station No. 2’s area include:

  • Beverly Hills
  • Governors Pointe
  • Harbourtown
  • Oakleaf Condos 
  • Winecoff School Road & Belvedere Community 
  • Wyndham Place Townhomes

During 2005, this facility was updated to include a vehicle exhaust system. In 2007, the kitchen was remodeled and new applicances added, facility was completely repainted (interior and exterior), driveways were replaced, and new dayroom furniture purchased.
