Clark Creek Phase A
Area: Clarke Creek Greenway/Cox Mill Loop
Project Status: Design is underway. Estimated construction in FY2025.
The first of three phases in developing the Clarke Creek Greenway/Cox Mill Loop.
Clark Creek FUTURE Phase B & C
Area: Clarke Creek Greenway/Cox Mill Loop
Project Status: Preliminary Design and Real Estate Acquisition underway
These phases will connect Phase A to the future Poplar Tent Trailhead Park and neighborhoods to the south with a parking lot planned at Cox Mill Road.
Dorton Park Phase
Area: Coddle Creek Greenway
Project Status: Construction Documents for the park are in process. Project expected to bid in late spring 2023; construction begin winter 2023-2024.

This project will connect Dorton Park to the George Liles Greenway.

FUTURE Cannon Crossing

Existing Moss Creek Greenway to Poplar Tent Road near Cox Mill Road.
FUTURE NC73 to Concord Parkway N
Area: Irish Buffalo Creek Greenway
Project Status: Real estate acquisition underway
This approximate 2-mile section of future greenway will extend from NC 73 to Concord Parkway N.
Caldwell Park Phase
Area: Irish Buffalo Creek Greenway
Project Status: Construction Documents for the park are in process. Project expected to bid in late spring 2023; construction begin winter 2023-2024.
This approximately 0.44-mile section of greenway is an existing natural surface trail within the park that will be paved and extended to Georgie St.
FUTURE Carolina Thread Trail Cross-Connectivity Downtown Concord Phase
Area: Irish Buffalo Creek Greenway
Project Status: In Design
An approximately 1.05-mile connection is planned, using sidewalk between the McEachern Greenway to the future Irish Buffalo Creek greenway.
