Code Manager Greg Walters has been with employed with the City of Concord for almost 20 years. He is a lifelong resident of Cabarrus County and a graduate of Central Cabarrus High School. His career with the City began in 2002 as the City’s Solid Waste and Recycling Coordinator. Walters opted for a change in 2007 and became the City’s first Business License Officer ensuring that all businesses in Concord were properly licensed. In 2015 he was transferred to the Police Departments Code Enforcement Division and in 2018 became the divisions Code Enforcement Supervisor.

Code Manager Walters duties are to assure that all Code Officers are serving the community promptly and efficiently for the citizens of Concord. He is a North Carolina Level 1 Building Inspector as well as a North Carolina Housing Code Official. Walters has also volunteered to be a Community Liaison for the Roberta Woods Home Owners Association.

Walters has been married to his wife Wendy, who is local business owner, for over 30 years. They have two daughters and a granddaughter. In his time off he enjoys spending time with his family and camping.
