The Emergency Communications Department provides, through partnerships with other departments, a high level of customer service to citizens in their time of need by quick and efficient handling of calls. Telecommunicators maintain contact with responding departments in order to give and receive updated information.

False Alarm Reduction Program:
Emergency Communications is responsible for the registration and permitting of all alarm systems operated within the City of Concord. This program is designed to reduce the number of false alarms responded to by the police department, helping ensure that officers remain available for true emergency situations.

Radio Shop:
The City of Concord Radio Shop is an internal division that maintains the City's telephone infrastructure, radio infrastructure, data installation as well as fleet vehicle equipment installations.
Fiber network management:
The Fiber Network Management Division maintains GIS mapping and asset management of the City's existing fiber optic network infrastructure along with the planning and design of new fiber expansions for growth and diversity.
