Ongoing Service Projects
"Park Litter Sweeps"- Monthly City of Concord Park Clean Ups
Two days a month Concord Youth Council rotates to every City Park and along Greenways to pick up trash and litter. Our members strive to keep their parks and community clean and beautiful for all patrons and visitors of Concord.
Back Packs for Hope- Monthly Food & Treat Bag Donations
This program places specific goods directly in the hands of children in need. Each month our organization sponsors 100 goodie bags or selected goods to support children in Cabarrus County. All donations will be divided among over 300 students who could not afford to supply themselves.
"El Puente Hispano" - Tutoring Grades K-5
Concord Youth Council assists El Puente Hispano every Tuesday and Thursday with tutoring and academic enrichment for children in grads K-5. El Puente Hispano was born when a group of Latino professionals from different sectors, aware of the needs and struggles of the Latino community, decided to work together to create a non-profit organization to further help Hispanics in Cabarrus County.
"Dogs' Day Out" - Fundraising Event
For the last 20 years Concord Youth Council has hosted Dogs' Day Out at Les Myers Park. It has been a community favorite and one of CYCs most beloved fundraiser of the year. Dogs, owners, and pet lovers alike are invited to join us for a day designed for the dogs! Dogs can play off-leash in the doggie fun zone, enter one of our contests for a chance to win cool prizes, and visit information alley to see cool vendors and veterinarians.
